Calla Lily

Bring color, texture, and a touch of nature into your space with this one-of-a-kind art quilt, featuring my unique interpretation of a calla lily set against a vibrant, pieced background. This wall hanging adds warmth and softness to any room and is designed to be a striking focal point.

This piece is entirely my original design—no patterns or kits used. It was thoughtfully designed, hand-cut, and sewn in my personal sewing studio. Over 20 hours of detailed, careful work went into crafting this quilt, making it a true labor of love.

I use curvy piecing techniques to build the background and carried this same style into the creation of the calla lily and stem. The flower and stem are done in raw-edge appliqué, quilted directly onto the background with coordinating thread that both blends and highlights various areas, bringing depth and visual interest.

Measuring 21" x 18", Calla Lily is one of my smaller art quilts but still rich with intricate details. It is fully “framed” with matching fabric, combining machine sewing and hand stitching, and is labeled on the back for authenticity.

This piece includes 2 corner pockets for hanging. A dowel or flat rod work best to ensure the quilt hangs flat. Hanging rod is NOT included in purchase.

Please note: To keep it clean, simply use a lint roller, or brush attachment on your vacuum, to maintain its beauty.
